Frequently Asked Questions

We treat each GoWeb1 client as an individual with unique needs, so it's difficult to respond to some of the more specific questions. However, here are some answers to many of the general inquiries we receive.

Q: Why should I hire GoWeb1?

A: We have been providing web development services since 2005, serving the needs of companies of all sizes – and some individuals. We’re focused on delivering innovative design that remains user-friendly, and we give you powerful tools to manage your own site. Our hosting services are reliable and secure, as we provide Tier 4 data center standards. We also offer premium customer support services to respond quickly and reduce downtime. The GoWeb1 team has expertise in developing sites for a variety of industries, so we have the specific knowledge necessary to showcase your company online. Our specialists provide the attention to detail you expect. We build exceptional solutions, on a user-friendly platform, to fit your budget.

We are honest, friendly people. Our business has grown word-of-mouth and we have every intention of keeping up this momentum. We make this seemingly complex process as easy as possible for our clients. Our project manager will speak your language (no tech-jibberish, we promise!), listen to your ideas and provide recommendations and options, while our programmer gets busy with the complicated behind-the-scenes details. We have always operated under the philosophy "if you're not happy, we're not happy." Simple as that.

Q: What’s involved with the development process?

A: The process begins by consulting with you to discuss goals and expectations for your project, and to get a firm grasp on your vision for the end result. Our planning and timeline center on an outline that we develop as we work closely with you. The GoWeb1 team utilizes our robust solutions to develop site architecture, design and programming that are customized to meet your unique needs. We bear in mind the details of your products, services and audience members. Once we have a draft version in place, we gather feedback from you and fine tune/test the website to ensure that you’re completely satisfied with what we have created. We also provide the training you’ll need to take the reins for administrative tasks when the site goes live. We also offer various support services to meet your specific needs for an additional monthly fee.

Q: How much will it cost to develop my website?

A: GoWeb1 pricing depends on many factors, so we prefer to discuss details with you before providing a cost estimate. Upon reviewing your preliminaries (live website, general needs, startup vs. established business, etc.), we conduct a consultation where one of our team members will ask additional questions about the nature of the project, your expectations as far as functionality and whether you also require design services – among other matters. After our discussion, we’re better able to give you a ballpark figure on cost. If you decide to go to the next level, we provide a detailed, formal quote.

Q: I’m not located near the GoWeb1 offices; can I still retain your services?

A: Absolutely. We’re happy to work with companies both near and far, as we can conduct consultations and much of the website development process remotely. As natives of Springfield Illinois, we certainly love to highlight local flair and promote local business. But we always work with your needs in mind, so distance isn’t a barrier to successfully completing a project. Do you have additional questions about what GoWeb1 can do for your company? Please contact us for more information or to schedule a consultation.

Q: Can I see my website while it's in progress?

A: You sure can. We build your website on a temporary URL; you can visit the private link anytime to test functionality and monitor our progress. Once your site is ready and you have given it a thumbs up, we release it live on the server and submit your URL to major search engines. What other services are included in design and development costs? We also provide a google analytics account and basic search engine optimization for your site. SEO includes submission of your site to the major search engines, and the setup of your primary metatag information (Page Title, Description and Keywords). Additionally, your site is built from the ground up with search engine friendly technologies and methods.
